Arisaema nepenthoides


Gets its name from a similar appearance to the pitcher plant (Nepenthes). A Himalayan species with a yellow and brown spotted stem leading up to a brownish, blackish spotted spathe. The hood has very prominent ears or side flaps (auricles). Flowers are variable among the various forms. Can become quite tall when mature. A real aristocrat in the woodland garden. Zone 6a
